HELPFUL TIPS FOR A GOOD NOMINATION

Contact nominee about nomination and is aware should they be selected.

Meet with nominee for a conversation to obtain information about all their community work.

Compile info to show the commitment of the individual’s work to write a compelling narrative for the nomination.

Obtain strong support letters from leaders, associates, and organizations related to the nominee’s work (preferably one page).

    • One letter is only required, but minimum average is eight to 10 letters. 
    • Request letters from more people than you’d like to receive letters for.
    • Ensure letters indicate an emphasis on humanitarian work, details and examples are important.

Prepare your narrative in Word and cut and paste into nomination form.

Copy your final nomination and support letters as a back-up.
