The Don Carlos Humanitarian Award honors individuals who have made Tempe a better place to live through impactful and lasting work that addresses human services in our city. The award is Tempe’s most prestigious distinction.

Congratulations to Sharon Doyle who has been named the 41st recipient of the Don Carlos Humanitarian Award. Sharon, a long-time Tempe resident and retired speech and language specialist from Tempe Union High School District, is being honored for her extensive leadership and commitment addressing the diverse needs of youth, substance abuse prevention, and public education in Tempe.
