Providing students items they need to attend school and be ready to learn.

Two Threadz clothes closets are available as a FREE resource for Tempe middle and high school teens from the Tempe Union, Tempe Elementary and Kyrene school districts (school ID required). Both Threadz locations carry a wide selection of new and/or gently-used clothing and shoes, personal hygiene items, school supplies and more.

How You Can Help

There are many ways to support teens through our Threadz teen clothes closets:

Cash Donations

Help us purchase essential items that are not donated, such as new underwear, socks and clothing in unique sizes, by making a cash donation or gifting Amazon gift cards. Every contribution helps ensure students get what they need to succeed.

Clothing & Hygiene Items

We accept schools supplies, full-sized hygiene products, and new or gently-used clothing suitable for teens aged 13-18. Please note, all donated undergarments or socks must be new and in their original packaging.

We are especially in need of:

- Clean teen-appropriate clothing (new or gently-used), especially in larger sizes
- Shoes (athletic, dress and casual; larger sizes for teens, particularly male sizes, are highly needed)
- PE/sports clothing (gym shorts, shirts)
- New undergarments (bras, men’s boxer briefs, women’s underwear, socks) – must be in original packaging
- Personal hygiene items (full size shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
- Ethnic hair products (shampoo and conditioner)
- Accessories (purses, backpacks, and other items teens love)

School Supplies

- Backpacks (adult/teen size)
- Composition notebooks
- College-ruled loose-leaf paper
- Index cards
- Click-type pens
- Highlighters
- 3-ring binders (plain or teen-friendly designs)
- Scientific calculators

Where to Drop Off Donations

You can drop off your donations at any Threadz location during open hours, at the respective school front office. Unfortunately, we do not offer pick-ups.
