NOMINATE A YOUTH OR YOUTH GROUP

  
Tempe Coalition will be seeking nominations for an outstanding youth or youth group (minimum of four members) to be recognized at the 9th annual Celebrating Champions for Youth event in the fall of 2025.

YOUTH CHAMPION AWARD

An outstanding youth or youth group who has:

• • continually set and achieved goals in an effort to reach their full potential and inspire their peers to do the same
    AND/OR
  • overcome adversity and challenges demonstrating resilience, determination, and leadership.

CRITERIA

Eligible nominees are youth or youth groups who have made a significant impact serving as a role model or overcoming adversity to inspire their peers.

• • Must be between the ages of 12-19.
  • Must live in Tempe or attend a school within the Tempe school district boundaries (Tempe Elementary, Kyrene, Tempe Union High), including charter, private and homeschool students.  
  • Has gone above and beyond serving as a role model to their peers with ongoing service or a one-time event and/or overcome adversity and challenges to inspire others.
  • Characteristics of the nominee/s should include being kind, respectful, self-motivated, inclusive and willing to share their story as a resource to other youth.
  • Cannot be related to a member of Tempe Community Council or Tempe Coalition. 

The award recipient and their nominator will be notified upon being selected.  Youth awardees will receive an award, certificate of recognition, monetary scholarship, and be honored at the 9th annual Celebrating Champions for Youth event in November 2025.

Nominations are currently closed.   Nominations for this year’s event will open in the Fall of 2025.

It is recommended the nomination information be created in a Word document then cut and pasted onto the nomination form. 

Ensure all areas marked “required” are completed and upon sending, a submission acknowledgement is displayed.
