City of Tempe’s Affordable Housing

Housing Services, of the City of Tempe’s Human Services Department, is Tempe’s source for information on several affordable housing programs and services including:  Section 8 Housing, Community Assisted Mortgage Program, Homeless Assistance, and Family Self Sufficiency Program.

Rent and Mortgage Assistance

Limited funding for rental, mortgage and utility assistance is available through Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA), by appointments only at 480.422.8922.

For utility assistance, call Thursdays at 8am.  For rental assistance, call on the first Friday of the month at 8am.  Must qualify for assistance through telephone pre-screening.  TCAA can assist in applying for Telephone Assistance Program (TAP), appliance repair/replace, and provide information on the Weatherization Program.
